FAQ
1. What’s new in SwimSafer Stage 4 compared to earlier stages?
The fourth stage takes everything the children have learned and builds on it with longer distances (100m), improves swimming skills and real-world survival practice, such as calling for help, treading water for 2 minutes, and swimming with clothes on to simulate an emergency.
2. Why does my child need to swim with regular clothes on?
Wearing regular clothes while swimming helps children to swim calmly and effectively, even if they fall into the water while wearing clothes. This is an important life skill to ensure personal safety.
3. Is a forward somersault really necessary?
Yes, it helps to develop an understanding of space, control breathing and comfort in water – all these are necessary to keep calm and move if your child sinks into the water in real life.
4. What strokes will my child need to know for the test?
Children must have confidence in the lifestyle of swimming, backstroke, breaststroke and backstroke, and swim 25 meters continuously as part of the 100-meter swimming requirement.
5. How do you keep kids motivated at this more advanced level?
We use encouragement, interesting challenges and positive consolidation to keep children involved. The coach is patient and supportive, ensuring that every swimmer has confidence in his own rhythm and makes steady progress.
