FAQ
1. What’s the main focus of SwimSafer Stage 3?
The third stage is about self-confidence, endurance and survival skills in real life. Your child will learn the formal swimming style, float for a long time, and use survival skills, such as rowing, treading water and swimming in deep water with life jackets.
2. Which strokes will my child learn at this stage?
Children will build up their basic knowledge and start swimming (freestyle), backstroke and breaststroke. These types of swimming are necessary when you are ready for more advanced swimming at a later stage.
3. Why does my child need to swim through hoops underwater?
Swimming through hoops on the pool bottom is an interesting but important way to teach you how to feel and control in the water. It can also help children stay calm when sinking and improve their breathing control and attention ability under pressure.
4. How deep is the water, and is it safe?
Children will enter deeper waters through safety technology, such as the stride or straddle entry. All activities are carried out under the close supervision of certified coaches, and floating devices are used when necessary to ensure safety and confidence.
5. What’s the purpose of fitting and swimming with a PFD in the water?
It simulates a real-life emergency when your child may need to wear a life jacket in the water, not just on land. They will learn how to float and swim 50 meters while wearing PFD, which will help build confidence in saving lives.
