FAQ
1. Is SwimSafer Stage 1 suitable for kids who are afraid of water or have never swum before?
Yes, of course! The first stage is a complete start for beginners. Help children feel safe and happy in the water through interesting activities, such as blowing bubbles, floating and paddling gently. No pressure – just building confidence.
2. What skills will my child learn at SwimSafer Stage 1?
Your children will learn how to safely enter and leave the swimming pool, float on their back and front, submerge and blow bubbles, kick while holding a board, and basic arm paddling. These are the necessary foundations for independent swimming.
3. Will my child need to swim long distances or dive underwater?
No need! The first stage focuses on short distance, supporting sports and self-confidence based on happiness. No deep water or swimming – just build your skills gently at your child’s pace.
4. Why are the SwimSafer Stage 1 tests done without goggles?
Taking off the goggles helps children get familiar with the actual water conditions, such as the water on their faces or eyes. This helps children prepare for emergencies and establish the necessary awareness of underwater survival.
5. What is a PFD and why does my child need to wear it in Stage 1?
PFD stands for Personal Flotation Device (like a life jacket). In the first stage, children learn how to use PFD to fit and float, so as to know how to stay safe in the water while fully dressed – just like in real life situations.
